I had joined my friend Karis-chan to the J-Pop Culture Festival 2014 at Yamashita Park, Yokohama yesterday. The event is to celebrate the Anniversary of Yokohama Open Port and it purpose is to promote Japan’s Pop Cultures(Anime, Cosplay, Dance, Singing, Idols).
Photo with Alodia!
Our main purpose that day is to see Alodia on stage. Since her stage is at 1700, we have the whole morning to walk around and taking photos with other cosplayers. I loved to see cosplayers especially those who cosplay on Vocaloid series.(Everyone know I love Hatsune Miku and had played lots of her songs with Harmonica.) I was lucky enough to be able to see some Miku Cosplay right away when we reached the Park.
Cute! Not to mention she is the famous Miku Dancer who make dance covers in Youtube! Thanks Shino Ryuuga(紫乃 龍雅)-san for the photo.
Guess most of you are watching this season most pretty Anime, Chihaya Furu. It’s about a story of a groups of youngster playing Karuta(Japanese Card games with fucking boring artistic words writting on it).
Karuta in a box.
And Today I got to see the real deal for myself. ^^ A groups of Japanese decided to show us the Karuta Games and we played together. ^^
Playing. Too bad we didn’t have Tatami or I really would like to try shooting the card and stuck it at the wall. lol.
Although it’s the Karuto Game, it’s different type of card… Too bad I didn’t get to see the 100 poem type of cards like in Chihaya Furu(Wished to posing with the Chihaya Furu card. ^^)
The one we are playing with today is beginner type. Named “Iroha karuta”. Iroha in Japanese kinda meant “ABC”.
At 20th September, I had a trip of 2 days and 1 night to Nikko sponsored by JTB. As you all already aware of the earthquake happened at Japan this March, many foreigner are afraid of the radioactive and is not visiting Japan as much as before.
Ops, you can see my name!! haha. As if I scared huh? ^^
Behind the name plate~
But from my point of view, Japan is really safe for now for traveling. And it’s a shame if you didn’t visit Japan since it’s be most advanced and most clean country in the world, not to mention the safety here too.
well then~ back to the trip~ Start from riding the bus~ we gathered at Tokyo Station that day. Then we board the bus and they start giving out flyers and badges~
Saw this Awesome video on Nico Douga and decided to post it up to Youtube for the sake of Touhou lovers all over the worlds. A genius had tried to recreate the fighting scenes of the last bost in Touhou Project 11th in 3D fighting style. Not much to say about it except “Awesome”.
Stumbled upon this Youtube video today and wow. I can see the future of first person shooting games. ^^
Appearantly someone had created a Virtual Reality games with Kinect, Wii’s Remote Controller and MMD 3D models. The quality is still kinda shitty but I believe if some corporation wished to put in modals into it, it will surely become something BIG!! Not much to say, Watch the Video!!!
(the BGM is good too. All are from Vocaloid’s songs)
Last few days I had been to the Famous Comic Market in Japan, A.K.A Comiket for short. I was plan to reach there at 11.00 a.m. but due to some problem of my friends(overslept. lol), We reached there at 1.30 p.m….
This is the nearest station to Tokyo Big Sight. As usual even it’s already 1.30 p.m. still tons of people there.
Spotted Itasha of Aya Shameimaru from Touhou Project when waiting for friend.
Last friday I had went to the famous Japan Pop Cultures blogger, a.k.a Danny Choo event named “CGM Night”. This is the 8th time of the CGM Night and I had joined 3 before. You can check out of my previous entry of the CGM Night here:
All the people that night. It’s really hard to fit all people in this small hall.
As usual the CGM Night is a gathering of famous blogger’s which have great interest in Japan’s pop cultures(anime, games, figures, dollfie…). The word CGM stand for “Consumer Generated Media”, which meant media(blog posts, news, feeds, tweets..) which wrote by consumer itself. You will need to be an active blogger and own a Twitter account to join the CGM Night.
As usual, the night started by introduction speech(very short and funny) from Danny Choo himself. A simple introduction of tonight’s guest and rules and then have fun!
This is the only photo of Danny which I took clearly that night… Sorry Danny ^^”
Mr Sugiyama from Digital Hollywood Studio. Thanks for the venue that night. He looked really fit in with all the cosplayers.
Today is my first time going out with my Japanese friends from my current University, Tokai University. Heard about their planning few days ago when I having lunch together with them at Canteen.
Since today is public holiday, they planned to go out to 町田 (Machida, quite a town compared to my current place) for some fun. Depart at 10.00 and reached there around 10.40. Seemed that I’m the 2nd reaching there. Was suppose to gather at 11.00 a.m. Then we head out to the Bowling center named “Round One”
The floor navigation guide at the Bowling Center.
This is my first outing with Japanese friends, and also my first bowling experience. Never played this Money-consuming sports before back in Malaysia.
The photos of my friends playing Mario Kart 2 while waiting for register.
At there! One interest machine I found out is the Shoes-lending machine. Most of you might know that you need to change into bowling shoes when playing it. Again Japan had surprised me. They have the shoes-lending machine.
Just push the green button and Shoes will drop out. My size is 27.0 cm.
Ok, Skip over the shoes things. The bowling field in Japan is smaller than what you see in Malaysia. I still remember in Pacific (or what you called Megamall Penang), the bowling field have around 40+ bowling track. In this Round One center, I only saw around 10 bowling tracks. But it have few floors of bowling fields. I think that summed up to be around 40+ too ^^
Guess what? We have Suzumiya Haruhi’s Advertisement again. This time it’s a Chewing Gum’s advertisement from Lotte.
It’s about a guy who chewing the gum. And then he go to some boutique shop. Then the worker there told him that they are out of stock. The guy is feeling so sad that he sighed. Then the worker who smell his breath suddenly turned into Mikuru-chan!
Then the boss who saw that rushed over and say “Do you think it’s okay to turn people into Anime?!” The guy apology about it, but then the boss turned into Suzumiya Haruhi and say ” You are not bad!” with her bright smile.^^
The guy got scared then rushed out from the shop and found himself a corner. When he sighed again, this time the cats rested on the floor all turned into Nagato! Nya~~
Well, Guess you should just watch it for yourself. ^^
